    WHAT GIVES YOU THE GREATEST SENSE OF JOB SECURITY

    A lack of job security can cause great discomfort and anxiety for many. Most employees have a fear of the unknown, and the lack of job security intensifies these feelings. It’s important to determine whether a company will be in business a year later or whether the role for which you are interviewing has some amount of permanence.  

    Sometimes your employee needs your reassurance that you require his services, especially in times of economic hardship, overall or specifically with your company. Showing your employee that you value his employment with your company helps you both to understand your mutual desire to work together to continue to make your company thrive in the future. By setting a motivational tone for your office, you empower your employee with a sense of well-being at the office so he/she will not need to question his/her job security.

    In some organizations, the top-performing employees do not worry so much about job security, because they have sufficient confidence in their ability to apply their experience and skills to new and challenging situations.   

    Employees tend to have a certain amount of confidence when they know, their jobs are secured. The peace of mind that comes with this experience can result in great delivery in their respective works, boost morale and encourage hard work.

    1. The Company Is In Good Financial Standing

    Knowing your company has a strong financial backing to withstand the adverse effects of any market downturn. But, if your company starts declining then your job security is also on the line. You should be able to determine if the company has the right gift for you – a business in good financial standing is a significant determining factor. Always keep an eye on external opportunities. It keeps your interviewing skills sharp, allows you to know your worth, and prevents you from being in an anxious situation having zero job security.

     

    2. Employees Are The Company’s Priority

    Raise the bar for your employee, ask them to work to spearhead a special project that makes them feel part of the company. By showing the employee that you trust his/her skills, which makes them understand the trust that you have in them. Be prepared to give the employee freedom to oversee the project without micromanaging. Show interest in their life outside of the office which also helps instill confidence and shows your commitment that you want the employee to remain a part of your team.


    3. Provide Your Employee With Benefits

    This includes the appropriate pay for employees who have shown great service to the company and also provide the best and most affordable health care benefits for them. As an employer, you can offer merit base pay increases upon review and necessary recommendations for employees who have excel in their roles.

     

    4. Create A Happy Workplace

    For employees to have a maximum sense of security at work, there should a friendly working environment that encourages people to churn out good results.  There is a study to show, employees, tend to be more productive when they know their job is completely secured and promised. Let the employees cultivate a secure work atmosphere habit. Reassure your employee that you will keep their jobs for the service rendered, the relationship established between employer and employee should be a strong bond, which will make the employer secure everyone’s position except if you don’t perform as expected.
