*Job Qualification/Requirements*
• Degree in Quantity Survey, and/or at least 5 years’ experience in the role (Quantity
Survey)
• Ability to work well with a team and/or with minimal supervision
• Estimating (Construction/ Interior) or finance is an advantage
• High level of organization and planning abilities, and multi-tasking
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills and great networking abilities
• Must be able to read and use design drawings effectively.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for wood interior decor projects,
considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.
• Collaborate with the project team to establish project budgets and ensure they align
with the client's requirements and company objectives.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide cost advice during the design and planning stages.
Quantity Takeoff and Procurement:
• Conduct quantity takeoff of wood materials, fixtures, fittings, and other items required
for each project.
• Prepare material schedules, bills of quantities, and specifications for procurement
purposes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices and ensure
timely procurement of materials within budget.
Cost Control and Monitoring:

• Implement effective cost-control measures to ensure that projects remain within
budgetary limits.
• Track and monitor project costs, providing regular reports to the management team.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest alternative materials or construction
methods without compromising quality.
Contract Administration:
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, including bills of
quantities, specifications, and contract conditions.
• Review and analyze contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks and
suggesting appropriate mitigating measures.
• Prepare and manage variations, claims, and contract amendments, ensuring compliance
with contractual obligations.
Project Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including records of
quantities, measurements, and cost data.
• Prepare financial reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and final
accounts.

• Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports, highlighting any cost-
related issues or concerns.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
• Liaise with architects, designers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure
effective communication and collaboration.
• Provide cost-related advice and guidance to the project team, helping them make
informed decisions.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost-related matters.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess the quality of workmanship and
adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address any cost implications related to
quality issues.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with industry trends, construction methods, and cost management
techniques.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of
cost management best practices within the company.
